great New England tour

Thank you to everyone who had anything to do with our little New England tour. Our audiences were fantastic, our traveling was easy -- despite the very long road hours -- and the music was fun! It was an interesting time to travel through the northern states: we went from surprisingly cold weather in Asheville, to 90 degrees in Massachusetts, to 40s and rainy in Maine (and it was still beautiful out there on the coast). We met some incredible women at Kripalu, including Jane Alexander, Ellen Burstyn, Katja Esson, Konda Mason, Molly Haskell, Devyani Saltzman and Karen Allen. We had tons of fun hanging with our new doorman-at-the-Living-Room friend, dirty kickin' Nick. We discovered that Toad in Cambridge is definitely the place to be on a Wednesday night. We got to play a surprise birthday party for a beautiful woman we met at Michigan Womyn's. We shared the stage in Boston with some of the hottest women around: Rachael Sage, Edie Carey, Trina Hamlin, Anne Heaton, Natasha Alexandra. And Portland's newest cafe, North Star Cafe , is incredible. Perfect for us wheat-and-dairy-free Asheville types looking for gluten-free bread...

Our most sincere thank you to everyone who came to our shows and supported us and these great clubs. There's a lot of insane stuff going down in the world right now, and we are blessed to still be living lives where we can come together and share powerful nights of music and passion and love. All my best, Cregan.

strike a pose

After spending all day and night driving along the Appalachians from NC to Western Mass, here we are at Kripalu Yoga Center. A gorgeous place, where we had a fantastic show last night for one of the best listening crowds we've ever experienced. All that yoga must really develop the focusing part of the brain, and everyone was so very good at sitting still for 90 minutes! Now we get to hang out for a few days, go to the sauna, eat fakin' bacon, and take part in the "Celebration of Women, Strength and Film" workshop that we have been anticipating for months! Very exciting. Alas, we won't have the pleasure of meeting Kathy Bates as planned, since she had a last minute commitment elsewhere (though I can't imagine anything more important than waking up at 6 am and striking a pose with a Sun Salutation, except somehow we often happen to be sleeping during that hour, so Kathy is off the hook)..... Anyway, we're so grateful to be able to be a part of this fabulous space and environment, meeting so many amazing people! Soon, we're off to Boston, NYC and Maine.....
