CD MUSIC REVIEW

by David Hurst
October 2006

In case you're wondering, this group's name is pronounced "Divine Maggies" and they just debuted their alternative music at Manhattan's Metropolitan Room. After hearing the songs of Cregan Montague and Danielle Tibedo featured on the CD, however, pronunciation will be the last thing on your mind. These two fiercely talented women from North Carolina have a way of combining folk, bluegrass and pop with a sophisticated, artful ear. Love me like the roses leaves you speechless entirely.
